Hi! I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (BCACC #23908) in Victoria, BC offering in-person, video, and phone-based counselling. I specialize in supporting couples to enhance communication and mutual understanding, and empowering parents to strengthen relationships with their teens. I also support individual adults and youth (16+) to manage and overcome anxiety and depression through practical skills and tangible strategies backed by neuroscience.

I take a trauma-informed and attachment-based approach to understanding and collaboratively supporting each clients’ unique needs, contexts, and goals. With couples, my integrative approach draws on the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Imago Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy (Part’s Work), and Attachment Theory to enrich communication skills and overcome patterns of disconnection. With parents of teens, I am guided by Mentalization-Based Therapy, Parenting Style Theory, and Behavioural Therapy to enhance overall parental awareness, secure parenting, and effective boundary-setting.

My years of experience in Alternative Education as a Youth and Family Counsellor with teens, parents, and families who have experienced school anxiety, behavioural concerns, and complex family challenges, supports my belief in family resilience and long-term positive change. My practice with couples and individual adults of diverse socioeconomic, family, and identity backgrounds as a volunteer at Citizens’ Counselling Centre fuels my non-judgemental and compassionate understanding of individual, family, and societal influences on clients’ nervous systems and paths to change.

Overall, I work from a solution-focused and strengths-based approach to highlight clients’ inner resources for repairing and resolving current issues faced by couples, parents, youth, and adults.
